A ravishing choral sound in ecclesiastical latin. Moderately difficult a cappella or less difficult accompanied. It presents few rhythmical challenges and no extreme ranges or difficult skips but uses advanced key signatures (F#, 6 sharps, at one point). Length about 4 3/4 minutes accompanied, slightly less a cappella. Written to be sung and played by chamber orchestra in perfect tuning; piano reduction written to avoid conflict between equal tempered piano and just intonation chorus.

By the composer of Lovelife Dances and Magnificat

	Ave regina caelorum,
	Ave Domina angelorum.

	Salve radix, salve porta,
Ex qua mundo lux est orta.

	Gaude Virgo gloriosa,
	Super omnes speciosa.

	Vale O valde decora,
	Et pro nobis Christum exora.

	    Literal translation:
		Hail, queen of the heavens,
		Hail, Lady of the angels.

Greet Thee, the Root, Greet Thee, the Door,
From whom to the world light is come.

		Praise the Virgin glorious,
		Over all beauteous.

		Be well, o greatly comely,
And for us with Christ plead.
